It can be very emotionally challenging to encounter a broken link. You had an expectation of arriving at page with content, but, instead, you've found yourself staring at a 404 error page. We sincerely regret that this happened to you.

Undoubtedly, you've experienced 404 error pages before. And, because a broken link won't work any better the second time you tried clicking on it (don't feel bad about trying the broken link repeatedly - denial is a normal and emotionally healthy phase of the initial stages of the grieving process), you know that it's possible that you'll never be able to access the content that the hyperlink referenced.

It could be that the page the link referred to has been taken down, or, if it's still on the server, it may have no inbound links. We understand that's a direct way of presenting this upsetting information, but it's necessary for you to confront this fact in order to move forwards to acceptance. We are very happy for you to stay here with us on this 404 error page while you need support, but, ultimately, you'll have to press the back button on your browser, and move ahead with your web life.

No web page that existed is ever really gone. They live on in the hearts and minds of the vistors who viewed those pages. The live on, cached, on servers around the globe. But, change, however difficult it may be for us to understand, or accept, is the nature of the Internet.

It may feel to you as though no link on the previous page could ever replace the content on the page you were trying to reach. But, rest assured that when The Server breaks one link, another link always appears. In time, you may come to realize that, although no page could exactly replace the page you hoped to navigate to, this site, and, indeed, the web itself, are filled pages that are adequate for filling the time you'd hoped to waste. Indeed, as unlikely as it seems now, in your moment of frustration and loss, you might even find yourself bookmarking another page on this site.

Again, we regret that you had to arrive at this page. Our thoughts go out to you at this difficult time. If there is anything that we can do to help, please let us know.
