Fire Bowl Run is a wide open beginner run just to the north Loveland's chairlift two. Highest elevation on Firebowl is just above 12,000 ft. The Fire Bowl ski run generally enjoys fairly good snow quality. Snow can blow into Firebowl from the higher terrain to the west, and the steep slopes of Super Bowl generally shelter Firebowl from the afternoon sun. The traditionally ungroomed portions of Firebowl, to the skier's left, are often a source a small amount of wind-blown softer snow.

Although Fire Bowl has a generally gentle slope, a stiff wind from the west isn't uncommon. This can enable the expert skier to generate a considerable amount of speed, propelled both by the wind (or, at least, not handicapped by air resistance) and gravity.

Lift 2 is fairly long if you ride it all the way from the bottom, and it can be cold if the weather's unpleasant. There is a warming hut just to the north of the top of lift 2, with a view out onto Fire Bowl.
