The Forest Meadow Ski Run

Forest Meadow is a great ski run at Loveland Basin, and probably has the best snow quality of any run at Loveland. Forest Meadow is in a small valley between Catwalk Trees and the Chairlift Six terrain, and tends to collect blown-in snow from surrounding areas. It's fairly protected from too much direct sun most of the year, and the snow in the Forest Meadow area always seems to be fluffy and light.

Many beginning skiers are afraid of the ungroomed powder, and expert skiers tend to prefer steeper slopes. But, if you like to float in fluff and make turns that don't go too far out of the fall line, you'll often find some great skiing in Forest Meadow.
